Belinda Kou (rhymes with “oh”) is a Taiwanese American lettering artist, illustrator, and educator in Chicago. A foodie at heart, she makes playful, colorful art to delight others. She also help creatives level up their digital art skills.
"Five years ago, I was a tired mama of 2 girls (now ages 8 and 5), looking for a creative outlet outside my agency job. I got into digital lettering and grew it into a full-time profession. 🥰
Some of my favorite projects have included creating learning experiences for Adobe and Nespresso, lettering foodie greeting cards for Trader Joe’s, and leading digital art workshops.
As a former middle school science teacher, I never dreamed I would do this kind of work today! Overcoming hurdles to redefine my career, I enjoy taking lessons learned and breaking them down into simple steps to teach others how to do what I do.
I’m currently working on an illustrative lettering course (
